Needs, Leads & Brags: Growing Your Network (September 11)
This month's conversation, hosted by Hub Director Tony Rodriguez, explored best practices for networking and growing your networks. We discussed different reasons for networking and the ultimate goals of being an active part of a network. Here are some of the insights:
Networking isn't done overnight. It takes time to build and cultivate.
Pay it forward: offer to help before asking for help.
Be genuine; people know when they are being sold something.
Collective Mind was offered as a resource for network building, and the Hub Member benefit Blinkist was identified as a way to quickly gain networking tips.
