On February 4, 2026, Open Gov Hub held its very first Community Day: a full day of nourishment, healing, learning, and connection for our Members. Here's how the day unfolded.
Welcome Breakfast
We started the morning with networking over a healthy and well-rounded breakfast. Hot eggs, muffins, bacon, and fresh fruit were offered alongside coffee, tea, and juice to fuel our bodies and minds for a full day of activities!
Healing Sound Bath: Rooting by Nina
After breakfast, we shared a transformative experience led by the Hub's new member and holistic healer, Rooting by Nina, where we sat or lay on yoga mats and had our stress washed away by soothing tones. We reflected by journaling about our experience afterward, but some were so relaxed they fell asleep!

"Hub Zero to Hub Hero" Lunch & Learn
With Diana Haber-Daws (Root for Good) and John Healy (Artful Citizen)
For lunch, we were treated to a performance of Hub Etiquette Do's and Don'ts. We enjoyed some role-playing over banh mi and summer rolls by Roll Play! Everyone enjoyed it and learned how to be a true part of the Hub community.
Executive Journaling Workshop: James Ladi Williams (Akadá)
Our closing session was with Akadá, where we received Open Gov Hub journals and gel pens and were encouraged to simply "Put Pen to Page." Ladi explained how journaling can be a powerful tool for leaders and executives to reclaim their focus in the age of distraction!
A note from your Hub Steward, Adam
Open Gov Hub's first Community Day was a beautiful, regenerative, and nourishing experience for those who attended. Be on the lookout for more community-focused events including Sound Therapy, Meditation, Journaling, Yoga, Dance, and more this year! I hope to create a workspace where our mental and spiritual health is just as important as our "output," and I truly believe it begins by starting within. Please join us next time for healing, education, networking, and true community.
We ❤️ you! – Open Gov Hub
